How do I earn points?

1. Quidditch: all points gained in quidditch matches will be added to the house points tally of both the winning and losing team. For more information on how quidditch matches are run see the How To Play Quidditch further on in this thread.

2. Homework: completing homework tasks will earn you house points (see How To Complete Homework further in this thread for more information)

3. Helping new students getting around the site.

4. Competitions: same concept as the general knowledge quizzes. points will be awarded for completing and participating in the various competitions that the admins set up in the competition board once it opens. winners will be awarded with additional points up to the value of 50.

5. Exceptional Applications: we will be awarding 20 house points for those students who have extremely high quality applications this means at an advanced level so work extra hard and you may just earn your house some points before school even starts XD

6. Referring Members to the site: our newest addition. should you refer a member to the site you will earn 10 points for your house. you and that member must pm me (admin) stating that you referred/were referred by that person. if the person you referred remains active on the site you will recieve an additional 20 points after 4 weeks.

7. Posting exceptional posts: if a staff member comes across a post that is of exceptional length and quality they may refer that post to me and i shall decide how many points (ranging from 5-20) will be awarded to your house. adults will have points awarded to their former house.

How to play the great game of Quidditch?

Part II: How To Play Quidditch

On the Quidditch Pitch two threads will be created, one that is to be RPed in by Quidditch Players and the Umpire Only and the other is for everyone else to RP in as if they are watching the game. Chasers will be placed into pairs (one from each team). One pair will begin and then a question will be asked. The person who answers it correctly then will take control of the Quaffle. That person chooses who they will throw it to and then the person they choose to throw it to, and their partner, will answer another question which determines who catches the Quaffle. This is how the chasers will play.

Once the chasers believe that they are at the goal the person in current possession of the Quaffle and the keeper will be paired to ask a question, just as with the chasers, and whoever answers the question correctly will either catch the Quaffle or score a goal. With beaters the beater determines which person they would like to hit a bludger at and, again, the beater and chaser must answer a question in the same nature of the keeper/chaser and chaser/chaser questions.

The seekers role will, however, be different. A small picture of a snitch will he hidden in a thread on the site. Any post will be modified by an administrator and it is the seekers job to find it though they can role-play in the game thread as if they are looking for the snitch.

There will be a separate thread for the questions. Characters RP as if they are playing and when it comes to passing and scoring, etc they will answer questions in another thread. It will be this thread that the seeker replies with the location of the snitch and the first seeker that replies will have caught the snitch.

All points that are scored will go to the various teams house point count.

PLEASE NOTE THAT NO-ONE IS ALLOWED TO INFORM THE SEEKERS OF THE TWO TEAMS PLAYING IF THEY FIND THE THREAD THAT THE SNITCH IS LOCATED IN. INFORMING THEM OF THIS WILL RESULT IN THE LOSS OF HOUSE POINTS. THIS GOES FOR ALL OTHER TEAM MEMBERS AS WELL.

Once the Quidditch teams have been filled the Quidditch Captains will recieve information on training sessions and games, etc. Times of games and who will be playing will be posted on the bulletin board when the time comes.

What is homework and how do I do it?

The teacher will state in their class rather it is a roleplay class or a lecture class. In the roleplay you will of course roleplay learning and talking to the teacher and in lecture style the teacher will post up the lesson and give you the homework after it.

All homework will be pm'ed to the teacher and they will grade it.
